Marie -Julie: “I am with St. Joseph. He saysto me:
玛利亚．茱莉：「我和大圣若瑟在一起。他对我说：
St. Joseph: “Dear friends, I come to saya word to your hearts that know how to love the Mother and her Adorable Son. Forthe father, (i.e. to him as Our Lord's foster father), give him also a small partof love.”
大圣若瑟：「亲爱的朋友们，我来向你们这些懂得如何爱圣母和她可爱圣子的心来说一句话。对于父亲来说，（也就是对他来说，作为我们主的养父），也供给了他一小部分的爱。 」
Marie-Julie: “Saint Joseph, we want to, butonly on condition you accord us a grace.”
玛利亚．茱莉：「大圣若瑟，我们愿意（去爱圣母及圣子），但条件是你得赐给我们一个恩宠。 」
St. Joseph: “I can refuse nothing, I am generous,but I want to be loved.”
大圣若瑟：「我什么都不会拒绝的，我很慷慨，但我渴想要被爱。 」
Marie-Julie: “If you give to us, it is thebest way to be. Great Saint Joseph, we have prayed with all the fervour possible.
玛利亚．茱莉：「如果你给我们恩宠，这是你最好这样行的了。伟大的大圣若瑟，因我们已經以最大的热情祈求了祷。 」
But if you do not accord us - see, you arein our houses surrounded by flowers and the Blessed Virgin is not - if you refuseus the most necessary of graces, be sure that we will put you in penitence, awayfrom our homes.” (i.e., they will remove his statues!)

St. Joseph: “I am well liked here and atall the places of (your) friends.”

Marie-Julie: “It is your business. If youdo nothing, you will leave all the houses. It is very generous on our part, butthis is our promise. Now do as you like.”

St. Joseph: “I will not leave, I would rathergive.”

Marie-Julie: “You are rich: you have thewhole of heaven.”

St. Joseph: “Yes, and I was asked by manynoble hearts of the Cross, by ministers who, every morning, immolate the Lamb thatI carried in my arms.”

-Marie-Julie: “ You must give something inreturn.”

St. Joseph: “The Beloved Son and the Motherof love are even richer.”

Marie-Julie: “Yes, good saint, but you alsoare rich. You are our grandfather. A grandfather loves his grandchildren, he takesthem from the blows when they want to hit them.”

St. Joseph: “I will not refuse anything whenthe Holy of Holies will give me His treasure.”

St. Joseph: “I promise to assist you in thehour of death, and that you triumph in battle.”

Marie-Julie: “Thank you ... We need somethingelse, you know well.”
玛利亚．茱莉：「谢谢你……你很清楚，我们还需要一些东西。 」
St. Joseph: “Tomorrow the Holy Church celebratesmy birthday.”

Marie-Julie: “I contemplate St. Joseph. Hesays he will stay a very short time. As long as you like, good Saint.”

St. Joseph: “Yesterday ended my beautifulmonth. Thousands of faithful have honoured me and you, too ...”

St. Joseph: “The Easters are not finishedyet.”

St. Joseph: “I forget nothing.”

Marie-Julie: “If you do not give them tous, see you are well decorated, you have the crown of the Sacred Heart; well! Iwill put you out.
玛利亚．茱莉：「如果你不把恩宠给我们，看，你那美好的装饰，你有圣心的冠冕；好吧！我会把你请出去。
You are sure to get out as soon as Easteris finished. I leave you thus so far.

Good Saint, you will leave! And still I willwrap you in a handkerchief so that you do not see the place where you will be orwhere you will be put.

You see how the need I have is extreme. Ifyou do nothing, you will go behind all the saints, your face turned toward the wall.We will not pray to you anymore.”

St. Joseph: “I will not be hidden, I wantto stay with the children of my Son.”

Marie-Julie: “It is your business, good SaintJoseph. If you want to stay, give me the grace.

St. Joseph: “I do not refuse anything.”

Marie-Julie: “The other saints will remain.I will put one in your place if you do nothing.”

St. Joseph: “I never said I will not giveanything.”

Marie-Julie: “But you do not say I will givesomething.”

St. Joseph: “I have my Son in my arms; forHim you will respect me.”

Marie-Julie: “It is not I who will carryyou out, but I would remove the Child Jesus. Believe me, I will not put my treasurein penance. Make up your mind good saint. You do not tell me?
玛丽亚．茱莉：「不是我要带你出去，而是我要带走耶稣圣婴。相信我，我不会把我的宝贝放在忏悔中。做决定吧，好圣人。你不告诉我吗？［注:玛丽亚．茱莉意思是，如果大圣若瑟甚么都不做，她会忏悔錯把宝贝押注在大圣若瑟身上］
You do not seem to me to say 'yes'.”

St. Joseph: “I will not be the cause.”
大圣若瑟：「那不会是我的原因。 」
Marie-Julie: “Do not talk as Saint Joseph!You are our grandfather. A grandfather loves his grandchildren. He carries themwith him, saying his rosary, leaning on a stick. Saint Joseph ... all the same!”
玛利亚．茱莉：「不要以大圣若瑟的身份说话！您是我们的祖父。祖父爱他的子孙，，携带着他们，念着玫瑰经，拄着拐杖。大圣若瑟（或其他任何圣人）……他们都一样！ 」
St. Joseph: “Pray again, do not forget me.I will bring your requests to my Son.”
大圣若瑟：「再祈祷，不要忘了我。我会将你的请求告诉我的儿子。 」
Marie-Julie: “You do well, good Saint! Thereis no dishonesty in it, there is only love, the desire to pray.”
玛利亚．茱莉：「你做得很好，好圣人！这里面没有不诚实，只有爱和祈求的渴望。 」
“Enough,”says Our Lord.
「够了，」我们的上主说。
Marie-Julie: “Saint Joseph approaches Him.Oh! if I saw him saying what the request is, I would be happy!”
玛利亚．茱莉：「大圣若瑟走近了天主。哦！如果我看到他说出请求，我会很高兴的！ 」（评注：天主才是第一因，大圣若瑟不能做恩宠的根源。所以他不能给自己没有的，只能天主赐给他，他才能给出去。茱莉是用看似搞笑的话请求大圣若瑟的帮助。她知道大圣若瑟不会生气的。另一方面，我们对大圣若瑟关注确实不是太多。想想他得是怎样的人，天主才愿意把圣母和耶稣托付给他照料，在这一章里我们很到大圣若瑟的谦虚，同时，我们也看到玛利亚．茱莉是一个很幽默的人，她希望大圣若瑟赐更多的恩典，就如雅格伯见到天主时那样:如果你不赐福我就不让你走!）
