Isaiah 1 1 Woe to Ariel, Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year, let the feasts come round. 祸哉，阿黎耳，阿黎耳，达味驻扎过的城！任凭一年复一年，任凭节期的循环， 2 But I will bring distress upon Ariel, with mourning and grief. Be drunk, but not from wine, stagger, but not from strong drink! 你们都在自我愚弄而愚蠢，你们都在自我蒙蔽而迷蒙；你们沉醉，不是出于清酒；你们蹒跚，不是出于烈酒； 10 For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has shut your eyes (the prophets) and covered your heads (the seers). 而是由于上主将沉睡的神注在你们身上，封闭了你们的眼睛【即先知们，】蒙上了你们的头颅【即先见们。】 11 For you the revelation of all this has become like the words of a sealed scroll. When it is handed to one who can read, with the request,＂Read this,＂ he replies,＂I cannot; it is sealed.＂ 12 When it is handed to one who cannot read, with the request,＂Read this,＂ he replies,＂I cannot read.＂ 若将这书交给一个文盲说：＂请读这书！＂他将答说：＂我不识字！＂ 13 The Lord said: Since this people draws near with words only and honors me with their lips alone, though their hearts are far from me, And their reverence for me has become routine observance of the precepts of men, 吾主说：＂因为这民族祇在口头上亲近我，嘴唇上尊崇我，他们的心却远离我，他们对我的敬畏仅是人们所传习的训诫。 14 Therefore I will again deal with this people in surprising and wondrous fashion: The wisdom of its wise men shall perish and the understanding of its prudent men be hid. 所以，看哪！我要向这民族再行奇事，最奇妙的事，致使他们智者的智慧必要消失，他们贤者的聪明必要隐遁。人算不如天算。 15 Woe to those who would hide their plans too deep for the LORD! Who work in the dark, saying,＂Who sees us, or who knows us?＂ 祸哉，逃避上主而力图掩蔽自己计划的人！祸哉，那些在暗中行事并说：＂有谁看见我们，有谁知道我们的人＂的人！ 16 Your perversity is as though the potter were taken to be the clay: As though what is made should say of its maker,＂He made me not!＂ Or the vessel should say of the potter,＂He does not understand.＂ 你们多么颠倒事理！岂能看陶工如泥工？制造品岂能论制造者说：＂他没有制造我？＂陶器岂能论陶工说：＂他不精明？＂ 17 5 But a very little while, and 诚然，再稍过片刻，黎巴嫩即将变成果园，果园将被视为果林。 18 On that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book; And out of gloom and darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see. 到那日，聋者将听到书上的话，盲人的眼将由幽暗晦暝中得以看见； 19 The lowly will ever find joy in the LORD, and the poor rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. 弱小的人将在上主内再得欢乐，贫困的人将因以色列的圣者而喜悦， 20 For the tyrant will be no more and the arrogant will have gone; All who are alert to do evil will be cut off, 因为暴虐者已经绝迹，轻蔑者已经灭亡，一切思念邪恶的人已经铲除： 21 those whose mere word condemns a man, Who ensnare his defender at the gate, and leave the just man with an empty claim. 就是那些使人在诉讼上失败，在城门口布置罗网陷害判官，用假理由屈枉义人的人。 22 6 Therefore thus says the LORD, the God of the house of Jacob, who redeemed Abraham: Now Jacob shall have nothing to be ashamed of, nor shall his face grow pale. 因此拯救亚巴郎的天主论雅各伯的家这样说：＂雅各伯今后不再惭愧，他的面貌不再失色， 23 When his children see the work of my hands in his midst, They shall keep my name holy; they shall reverence the Holy One of Jacob, and be in awe of the God of Israel. 因为人们看见了我手在他们中所有的工作，必称颂我名为圣，必称颂雅各伯的圣者为圣，必敬畏以色列的天主。 24 Those who err in spirit shall acquire understanding, and those who find fault shall receive instruction. 心内迷乱的人将要获得知识，怨尤的人必学得教诲。＂ Footnotes(注解) 1 [1-2] Ariel: variously interpreted to mean＂lion of God＂ or＂hearth (altar) of God,＂ a poetic name for Jerusalem; or perhaps to be read as Uru-el,＂foundation of God,＂ an archaic name for the Jebusite city of Jerusalem; like that Ariel, against which David encamped, it will be besieged by God. 2 Chirping: see note on Isaiah 8:19. 3 [7-8] Just when the Assyrians think their capture of 4 [9-12] 5 [17-24] The prophet presents God's plan of redemption in terms of unheard-of natural phenomena as if such changes in nature took place, e.g., the change of the cedars of Lebanon into an orchard (Isaiah 29:17). 6 [22] Who redeemed Abraham: by freeing him from the idolatry of his native land. |
